Pizza Rocks Las Vegas

This is the Italian Trio Sandwich.  It is made with garlic toast, molinari salami, prosciutto, soppresata, arugula, goat cheese, Oliver oil, balsamic reduction, banana peppers, peppadews.

This sandwich was amazing!!! All the favors blended together and brought out all the natural flavors.
It was served with Rosemary, sea salt French fries which complimented this sandwich. The fries were cooked well but not brunt.
If you are ever in downtown Las Vegas, you should walk over and give it a try!!!

Just sayin! Enjoy!

CheeBurger CheeBurger

CheeBurger CheeBurger was the newest place we tried this week.  You would never guess that it had a 50's style decor inside.  They advertise free toppings on your burgers, salads, and fries.  They have over 25 flavors of shakes!

Your drinks come in these mason jars, and this was half a shake, I can imagine what the full size shake looks like!  The shake I tried was chocolate covered pretzel shake!  It was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!  It was thick and creamy, and most important it was COLD! There were chucks of chocolate covered pretzels mixed into it.

This is the semi-serious burger with cheese, teriyaki sauce and pickles.  It is 1/3 pound of burger, and every inch was cooked properly and seasoned amazingly.  This burger was juicy and yummy!
We didn't get a picture of the onion rings, but they were the best onion rings I've had in a long time!

The kids meals included grilled cheese with bacon and chicken strips with french fries.  It comes in this 50's style car.  And the best part is on Wednesdays in July kids eat FREE!

This is the one pound burger!  If you eat this burger and finish it you get your picture on the wall.  This burger was cooked to perfection, and seasoned wonderfully.  The burger was juicy and yummy!

As you can see Chris ate the whole burger and got his picture on the wall!  Will you try this challenge if you go there?  Not many have got their picture on the wall, but the wall next to it is the people that have tried and failed.  Which side will you be on?

Lay's Flavor Contest

Lay's Chip Contest has everyone running to try the new flavors and vote for their favorite flavors!  Everyone has their own favorites, some like the kettle cooked chips, some like the wavey chips, or the regular chips.  Either way everyone tries each flavor hoping to find a new favorite.  Our family decided we would try the new flavors!  See what we had to say!

First on the list is the Kettle Cooked Greektown Gyro.  Not much of a smell when you open the package, which was a plus for me.  I took a small chip, Chris wouldn't try it, Mikayla refused to try it and Cristyana tried it.  Tzatziki sauce was very strong, and there didn't seem to be any other taste.  Not something I would try again.

Southern Biscuits and Gravy is next!  Everyone tried it.  Mikayla and Cristyana liked it.  Chris and I thought it was alright, but we wouldn't go running out to try it.  The smell when you open the bag was interesting, not horrible.

New York Reuben is next up!  When you open the bag it is super strong!  Smells like a hot reuben sandwich with everything on it.  It tastes like a reuben sandwich, with extra, extra sauerkraut.  That's all you taste and then there is a horrible after taste!  Mikayla and Cristyana loved the chips and ate the whole bag.

Wavy West Coast Truffle Fries is last!  This was our WINNER!  I didn't know if I wanted to try it because truffles are usually really strong, but this had just enough flavor.  When I opened the bag, there was no smell that would turn you off.  It's a must try!

Bubba Gump's - Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas

"Bubba Gump Shrimp is what they got."  - Forrest Gump

How many of us have watched the movie Forrest Gump over and over again?  Okay, maybe just me, but watching the movie over and over again can win you trivia at the restaurant.  On Maui they gave away prizes if you could answer their questions about the movie!

Bubba Gump Shrimp Company Restaurant and Market has many locations around the United States.  Lahaina, Maui, Hi was the 2nd location of this huge franchise.  It was a favorite restaurant of our when we lived in Hawaii, so we were excited when they opened here on the strip.  We have been there a few times in the 3 years it's been here.

The other night we visited Bubba Gumps.  The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean!  For a Saturday night on the strip we walked right into the restaurant and was seated right away.

I had the Shrimper’s Heaven.  Which has 4 different styles of shrimp, it had Coconut Shrimp, Grilled Shrimp, Crisp Golden Shrimp and Tempura Shrimp with Fries. And of course great dippin’ sauces like Tangy Asian, Cajun Marmalade and Zesty Cocktail.  This was really yummy!  Every shrimp was cooked perfectly, and being that almost everything was fried it was greasy,  and it was perfectly seasoned.

Chris had Forrest’s Seafood Feast.  Southern Fried Shrimp, Hush Pups, Fish & Fries. Dippin sauces -homemade tartar, cocktail and Remoulade.   Again for being fried it wasn't greasy and was seasoned and cook perfectly.

Mikayla had Chicken Strips and Fries.  Her kids meal came with fries, chicken, dippin sauce, jello and an orange slice.  Their kids meals run about $6 and they are served in a boat.  If you remember the movie the boat is the same as the one Forrest uses to catch the shrimp.

Cristyana had Pepperoni Pizza, which came with fries, jello and orange slice.  It was also served in Forrest Boat as you can see at the bottom of the picture.

Overall everyone had a great meal, great service and fun time.  At the end of the meal we received the check.  We had a gift card for $50, the server said he would take the gift card and our Landry's Loyalty card and then bring us back the remainder of the bill.  About 10 minutes later the manager came over and said that beside the $50 gift card we had $25 on our loyalty card which covered our entire bill.  What a surprise!!!  If visit any Landry Restaurants sign up for their loyalty card, they give you $25 on your birthday!  WOW!!!
Oh and visiting their website shows they now offer a Gluten Free menu!!  So now they have something for everyone!
