DW Bistro - Las Vegas, NV

DW Bistro

Chris and I went with friends to DW Bistro.  We went for brunch and it was amazing!  The decor was modern and bright!  There was a lot of white which made the artwork and lighting stand out!

They have bottomless mimosa for $22.  Your glass is never empty, they are always there to refill your glass!

They also have other drinks available.  Most people at the party had the bottomless mimosa, but my friend had a Bloody Mary, which she loved!

Yes that is a pickle and bacon as the garnish!

Chris ordered the biscuit and gravy with scrambled eggs.  He really enjoyed it and it was one of the best he had, had in a long time!

I had the special which was Eggs Benedict with avocado and prosciutto.  It was amazing!  The prosciutto's salty flavor was just enough to keep you wanting more with each bite.

This restaurant is a much try!! Make sure you bring a designated driver with you!  The food is amazing!!  We want to try dinner or even lunch and when we do we will post it here!

Yard House - Town Square, Las Vegas, NV

Yard House at Town Square

We went to Yard House for dinner the other night and sat out on the patio.  It was nice to sit in the open air and watch people walk by.

Mikayla ordered chicken strips and fries.  The chicken was fried and cooked perfectly!  The breading was seasoned well and fried perfectly.

I ordered the Ahi Crunchy Salad, seared rare, field greens, asian slaw, crispy wontons, and a soy vinaigrette!  Oh and did I mention it was only 600 calories and I had enough for lunch the next day!

Chris judges a restaurant on how well they can cook a burger!  So he got a burger and fries. He ordered the Classic Cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, red onion, garlic aioli, and american cheese.   The burger was cooked perfectly and juicy.  It was seasoned well and tasted yummy!

This was a great meal and we will be back sometime soon!  If you have not been to Yard House, you need to visit the closest to you.  They have a huge menu and many different options!
They have great Happy Hour specials that you should check out!

WuHu Noodles at the Sliverton

WuHu Noodles

WuHu Noodle have been open only a few months.  Chris and I decided to give it a try.

I tried the Japanese Ramen, which I could choose either Shoyu, Miso or Tonkotsu.  Included in the bowl was Japanese BBQ Pork, half a soft boiled egg, bamboo shoots, red ginger and mushrooms in a rich broth.  I am always looking for good Ramen on a cold night and this was very good!

Chris loves fried rice, so when he gets the opportunity to try a different fried rice he will.  He ordered Kimchi Fried Rice, which was made with housemade kimchi and pork belly.  There was just enough spicy to it, and really yummy!

We will be going back to WuHu noodles again!  The prices are competitive and its a relaxing atmosphere.  You can sit in and eat, but you order and pay at the counter and then someone brings your food to the table.

Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano in Disney's Hollywood Studios

It's been a very busy few months, and I now have time to finish up our Disney trip with our final restaurant.  Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano in Disney's Hollywood Studios was a first visit for the whole family.
We decided to visit this restaurant for lunch.
We started with Crispy Calamari, which was topped with grilled peppers and onions, served with dipping sauces.  This was really yummy and perfectly cooked.

Cristyana the pizza princess ordered a pepperoni pizza for her lunch, oh and let's not forget the ranch dressing!  It was her own personal pan pizza.

Mikayla ordered the Oven-Baked Chicken alla Parmigiana, which was breaded chicken breast with marinara sauce topped with melted mozzarella over spaghetti.  The pasta was cooked perfectly and the chicken was moist and well seasoned.

Chris ordered the Chicken Campanelle, which had wood-grilled chicken over campanelle pasta tossed in a four-cheese sauce with broccoflower, sun-dired tomatoes, with fresh spinach and sweet onions.  The campanelle pasta was well cooked and the chicken was moist and well seasoned.

I ordered the Saltimbocca with pork tenderloin topped with prosciutto, sage, fontina cheese, tuscan mashed potatoes, broccolini and lemon caper sauce.  I have only ever had the chicken saltimbocca, so the pork was a welcome change.  The pork was cooked perfectly and every bite was seasoned well and enjoyable.

Of course no meal is complete without dessert!  We ordered the traditional cannoli, which was made with a creamy cannoli filling with a hint of citrus and dusted with cocoa powder.  Of course it was super yummy!

We ordered the dessert sampler, which had miniature versions of Mama's favorite desserts, Amarettini cheese cake, tiramisu, and cannoli cake.  Each dessert was just enough to try them and they were all wonderful, it was a good thing I didn't have to choose which to have!  We got the best of both worlds!

After trying Mama Melrose, I think we will be making our way back to this restaurant in the future!  This was the last restaurant we visited in DisneyWorld!  Back to Las Vegas!  Look for our posts from Las Vegas, NV!!

Teppan Edo - EPCOT World Showcase

Our tour through Walt Disney World continues with a stop in EPCOT Center's World Showcase.  We stopped in the Japanese pavilion for lunch at Teppan Edo.
The restaurant has a fun atmosphere as these talented chefs cook you meal right in front of you.

Tuna Tataki was the first appetizer we tried. This is a seared tuna loin topped with green onion and tempura crunch.
This dish was cooked in the grill in front of us and was amazing!!! Everything tastes very fresh.

Volcano Roll was our second appetizer. This is made with grill California roll topped with shrimp, scallops, and volcano sauce. When this was being made on the grill the smell of the volcano sauce made your mouth water.  Everything together was fabulous!

I had the steak and shrimp. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the steak was tender!

Mikayla had the Fliet Mignon! It was cooked perfectly and well seasoned.

Cristyana had the grilled chicken.  The chicken wasn't dry, and had great seasoning. Of course Cristyana didn't eat so we all picked at her meal.

The whole dining room wished Cristyana a happy birthday.

We had a great time here and will continue to go back whenever we are in town!

Be Our Guest - Belle's Castle in Magic Kingdom

This restaurant is located in Belle's castle in Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom at DisneyWorld.
These are just some of the photos of inside the castle.
When you walk in you order your breakfast on a computer. Then you walk into the dining rooms. You could have breakfast inside the ballroom, library, or the west wing.
This pastry tray comes to your table along with your meal. They were yummy!
This is my meal. It was the Croissant Doughnut, topped with Banana-Caramel Sauce, Pastry crime, and Chocolate Ganache. It was amazing, but small. It was a good thing the patty tray was there to fill you up.
Croque Madame - open faced ham sandwich topped with a fried egg, Gruyere cheese, and becahmel.
That was good, but small.
Mikayla ordered scrambled egg whites and chicken sausage. She didn't care for it, but there wasn't much variety.
Cristyana got scrambled eggs and bacon!  I think she had the best meal out of all of us!
Overall, we thought this restaurant was over rated at least for breakfast! I don't think the price was worth the food. The price was $19.99 no matter what you got.

Sci Fi Dine-In Theater - Disney's Hollywood Studios

This restaurant is located in Disney's Hollywood Studios. You are seated in a car in a drive in!
This is what the car/table looks like, but we took the picture outside.

The kids really enjoy this restaurant and we always have to make sure this is on the list of restaurants.
While eating you are watching clips of movies from the 1950's.
The kids are entertained while they wait for their meal.
We have been to this restaurant at least 4-5 times over the years and every time I get the same thing, so this time I decided to try something new!
This is the Grilled Marinated Salmon, served with farm fresh greens, tomatoes, crispy bacon, chili-chive ranch dressing.
If you know me salmon is not my first choice for a meal, but this was amazing.  It was moist and flakey, seasoned very well! Mixed into the salad I could eat it over and over again!
Mikayla this trip had to order off the adult menu, so this is what she chose: House-Smoked St. Louis-Style Pork Ribs.  Lightly brushed with BBQ sauce. It normally comes with coleslaw and baked beans, but of course Mikayla got fries.  The fries seemed to be the best part of the dish.  The sauce had a lot of flavor, but Mikayla is use to BBQ falling off the bone. Instead she got meat that was tough, it needed to be cooked a little longer.
Chris got the Sci-Fi Speciality Burger topped with Swiss cheese, pulled pork with sriracha barbecue sauce and Pickled Apple slaw.  He really enjoyed this burger that was cooked perfectly.  It was moist and yummy!
Cristyana got a cheeseburger and fries off the kids menu! It's a cute portion for a little child. Burger was a little dry according to her, but when the burger is this small it could very well dry out.
Dessert was next!
Chris and I had the same dessert. This was a special that they had. It was a glazed donut with Caramelized apples and vanilla ice cream! It was so yummy! The apples were sweet and the donut was soft and yummy!
Mikayla got the Hot Fudge Sundae. It was vanilla ice cream with hot fudge, whip cream and a cherry!
Cristyana got a scoop of ice cream, but couldn't wait for us to take a picture!
Overall the experience and food was really good! We do recommend trying this restaurant when you visit Disney's Hollywood Studios!!

Flying Fish Cafe - Boardwalk, Disney World

Hello! Wow this has been a crazy, crazy month!!!
During this crazy month we went on vacation to Florida, we visited family and we visited DisneyWorld!!
The next few posts will be from Walt DisneyWorld Florida!

The first night we were at Disney we went to dinner at the Flying Fish Cafe at the Boardwalk Hotel at DisneyWorld. Chris and I had been to this restaurant a few times the first time was on our honeymoon in 1999. Over this 16 years we have stopped in two to three times. This time we took our two daughters. The decor has changed over this time, but the one thing that has not changed is the freshness of the menu. The menu is printed every day so you may not always see the same entrees everyday!
This is the Chefs special Thunder from the sea. . . .Herbaceous Brioche Crusted Icelandic Cod. It was served with baby Asian greens, young turnips, snow peas, EPCOT land peppers, cultivated mushroom, smoked yellow tomato butter emulsion. It was full of flavor and moist! It tasted amazing!!!
This is the Grilled Sea Scallops! It was made with artichoke, taggiasca olive ratatouille, basil, pecorino and mascarpone risotto di carbaryl I and capers. This sea scallops were huge and cooked perfectly! The risotto was amazing and melted in your mouth.
This is the Char-crusted Angus New York Strip Steak! For being a seafood restaurant the steak was amazing! It cut with a butter knife and melted in your mouth! The flavors were amazing!
This was off the kids menu! It was called the Flying Fish Cafe Pizza-Bobs! They are cheesy pepperoni fritters and pizza dipping sauce! Cristyana loved them!
For dessert Cristyana had Mickey's Chocolate Puzzle! It's a white chocolate puzzle with sugar paints, and a creamy topped chocolate cupcake!
The final piece!!
Mikayla had the seasonal house made sorbets with fresh berries! She enjoyed it even though she was full!
I had the Sinful Nutty Chocolate Delice Creation. The cake was light and full of flavor! The raspberries were sweet! Of course chocolate is amazing with everything!
Chris had the Signature Flying Fish Cafe Caramelized Bananas Napoleon! There is a crisp phyllo, banana mousse, crime caramel, exotic fruits and bitter chocolate! This was amazing! Chris love this dessert!!
This was an amazing experience to be able to share at DisneyWorld! So if you are ever near the area this is a must try!!
